VerseHub is a fan-made companion for Star Citizen.
This page explains what we collect and why.

Who we are

VerseHub (versehub.space) is an independent, fan-made project.
It is not affiliated with Cloud Imperium Games.

What we collect

Account. Your email and password (stored encrypted by our sign-in provider). If you sign in with Discord, we also receive your Discord username, avatar and email.

Profile. The name, picture and bio you choose.

Content you create. Projects and what you track, your fleet and loadouts, event progress, notes, groups and orgs you create or join, contributions, chat messages, and messages you send through the contact form.

Activity. When you last used the site while signed in, to keep the service running and spot abuse.

On your device. Local preferences kept in your browser storage. They never leave your device.

Usage. Privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics: how many visits each page gets per day, on phone or desktop, signed in or not, whether the visit lasted at least 20 seconds, whether the page was already opened on an earlier day, which page a visit started on, the kind of site it came from (for example Discord, Reddit or a search engine, never the address) and a few actions such as using a search.
No IP address, no user id and no cookie is stored for this. Your browser only remembers dates and page names, so every count is a plain yes or no.
No advertising trackers, no profiling.

Why we use it

To run the service: sign you in, save what you create, power groups, orgs and chat, answer your messages, and keep the site safe and fast.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Everyone: your public profile (name, picture, bio).

People in your groups and org: your name, role, contributions and messages there, and for orgs a summary of the fleet. In public groups, visitors can see the names of the members.

The site admin: account email, groups and orgs, and basic activity, only to run the service, answer requests and stop abuse.

Who processes it

A few trusted providers run parts of the service for us: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Supabase (database and sign-in), Discord (only if you sign in with it) and an email delivery service.
They may process data in other countries, and keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to protect their systems.

Some pages load public game data and pictures straight from community sources, such as the Star Citizen Wiki: those requests go from your browser to their sites and carry nothing about your account.

Donations, if you choose to give, are handled by a third-party platform on its own site.
We never receive your payment details.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account.
Aggregated usage counts contain nothing about you and are kept to see how the site is used over time.

Your choices

You can change your profile at any time from the Profile page.

To delete your account, for a copy of your data or any other request, use the contact form.

Emails we send

Only emails tied to an action you take: account confirmation, password reset, sign-in link, email change.
No newsletters, no marketing.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in.
No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Children

VerseHub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If the law where you live sets a higher age to use online services on your own, ask a parent first.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves.
The date at the top always shows the latest version.
